BOOKING AND CANCELLATION CONDITIONS ACCOMMODATION & ACCOMMODATION PACKAGES
We apply the following general booking and cancellation conditions to reservations, unless a separate agreement has been made between the customer and the accommodation provider. We reserve the right to make changes to the conditions and prices. These conditions are available at www.majatalosova.fi
BOOKING AND BOOKING CONFIRMATION
Products and services can be booked on the spot, by phone, by e-mail. Reservations can be made by persons of legal age. To confirm a reservation, the required information must be provided at the time of ordering. The customer agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions applicable to each reservation. The reservation is binding from the moment of booking. The accommodation provider may make the payment of the reservation fee or the confirmation of the reservation by credit card a condition of the binding nature of the reservation.
Reservations for special events will be charged in full at the time of booking or in advance. The deposit charged is non-refundable in the event of cancellation or modification. Please note any different booking conditions when confirming your reservation. We recommend that our customers take out comprehensive travel insurance well in advance, at the time of booking. You should check your own travel insurance cover in case of cancellation.
PAYMENT METHODS: Payment on the spot can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Maestro), Visa Electron or Finnish debit card.
DEPARTURE AND ARRIVAL TIME: The room is available on the day of arrival at 12 noon at the earliest and must be vacated by 15.00 on the day of departure. The property may have different check-in and check-out times.
METHODS OF PAYMENT: advance payment or payment on the spot according to agreement. Payment on the spot can be made by credit card (Visa, MasterCard and Maestro), Visa Electron or Finnish debit card.

DEPARTURE BEFORE THE AGREED TIME: If the client departs before the agreed time, the client will have to pay the full price of the booked package.
NO ARRIVAL: If the client fails to arrive and the reservation is not cancelled, the accommodation provider has the right to charge the client according to the cancellation policy, but always for a minimum of 1 night's accommodation.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGE OF RESERVATION: Cancellation must be made by contacting the accommodation in writing. Cancellation conditions vary according to the date of the reservation, the product booked and the specific conditions. The possibility of cancellation depends on the conditions of the price selected at the time of booking. In the event of non-payment of the reservation, the accommodation provider reserves the right to cancel the reservation. For compelling reasons, the accommodation provider reserves the right to transfer the reservation to another accommodation of at least the same standard. The accommodation provider shall not reimburse the subscriber for the direct costs of the transfer.
In case of serious illness or accident, death of a loved one, force majeure or force majeure We recommend that our customers take out comprehensive travel insurance well in advance, at the time of booking. The cancellation/modification costs will be reimbursed in the first instance by the insurance company. If the insurance company does not reimburse in the above cases, we will charge a maximum of 30€/room for office expenses. If the accommodation provider has incurred special costs for the booking, for example for additional services ordered, these will be charged in full in the event of cancellation. To obtain a free cancellation, a doctor's certificate or other reliable proof of the reason for the cancellation must be provided to the accommodation within 14 days of the cancellation. Certificates submitted after this date will not be considered as valid for free cancellation. Cancellation or interruption of the holiday during the stay does not entitle the holder to a free cancellation.
OTHER:
According to § 6 of the Accommodation Act, the passenger must make a passenger declaration before the accommodation. The accommodation provider treats all customer information in complete confidence. The room is expected to be in its normal state of occupancy at the time of departure: furniture and other equipment in place and intact. If at the end of the booking the room is not as clean as described above, an additional cleaning charge of €80 or other amount deemed appropriate will be applied. Smoking is not allowed inside the property. Unauthorised indoor smoking will be charged at €300 per person. Lost room keys will be charged at €150 per room.
The property is not responsible for any allergy or other problems caused by unauthorised smoking or animal dust. The area is quiet from 22:00 to 06:00. During this period, guests should avoid causing any disturbance. If the customer's activities cause disturbance to other customers, the accommodation provider has the right to remove the customer from the area. However, the customer must pay the full price of the accommodation and may not claim a refund of any payment already made. The accommodation provider is not responsible for any property left in the accommodation or for any damage to or loss of the means of transport in the car park or any property inside the car park. Accommodation reservations are subject to the law on accommodation and catering. We reserve the right to change our booking and cancellation conditions. Before making a reservation, the customer must read and accept the current booking and cancellation conditions. Unless otherwise specified in the terms and conditions, MaRa's general booking and cancellation conditions apply. These conditions do not apply to accommodation booked through any other agency.
High Season & special events during the period when a deposit is charged:
- A deposit of 30-50% of the total amount will be sent to the customer, mainly by e-mail in advance.
- Free cancellation before the prepayment is made. The deposit paid will be retained if the booking is cancelled after the deposit has been paid.
- 75% of the package ordered will be charged if cancelled 60-31 days before the start of the booking
- 100% of the package booked will be charged if cancelled less than 31 days before the start of the booking period
During High Season & special events, when no deposit is charged:
- Free cancellation if cancelled 61 days or more before the start of the booking period
- Up to 60-31 days before the start of the booking, 50% of the package price will be charged
- 75% of the package will be charged if cancelled between 31 and 15 days before the start of the booking period.
- 100% of the package will be charged if cancelled less than 15 days before the start of the booking period
Low Season:
- 1-2 nights: free cancellation if cancelled at least 5 days before the start of the booking.
- 100% of the package price will be charged if cancelled less than 5 days before the start of the booking period.
- 3 nights and more: free cancellation if cancelled at least 31 days before the start of the stay
- If cancelled between 30 and 16 days before the start of the stay, 50% of the total amount will be charged.
- 50% of the booked package will be charged if the booking is cancelled 30-16 days before the start of the booking.
- 75% of the package will be charged if cancelled 15-5 days before the start of the booking
- 100% of the package will be charged if cancelled less than 5 days before the start of the booking period
Groups:
- Free cancellation if cancelled at least 200 days before the start of the booking period.
- Advance payment of 30-50% of the total amount will be sent to the group booker, mainly by e-mail, 200-60 days before the start of the booking period.
- The deposit paid will be retained if the booking is cancelled after the deposit has been paid
- If the deposit is not collected, the conditions below will still apply.
- 30% of the package ordered will be charged if cancelled 180-91 days before the start of the booking
- 50% of the package booked will be charged if cancelled 90-31 days before the start of the booking.
- 100% of the booked package will be charged if cancelled less than 31 days before the start of the booking period
- A list of names must be submitted 30 days before the start of the booking period to myynti@majatalosova.fi
